Hair that’s 14 times smoother!

Shinier, smoother hair that’s easier to manage despite the tropical humidity : cThat’s the promise of the new L’Oréal Elvive Glycolic Gloss line, recently launched in Mauritius. Inspired by advances in skincare, this hair care innovation relies on glycolic acid, an ingredient already well known in skincare. ZAK

Between the sun, humidity, salt, and chemical treatments, hair is put through the wringer. “Mauritian women want shiny, smooth, and manageable hair. We immediately recognized the potential of this line in the local market,” explains a representative from L’Oréal. Long used in skincare to enhance radiance and smooth the skin’s surface, glycolic acid is now finding a new application in the world of hair care. According to the group’s research teams, this active ingredient works deep within the hair fiber to correct the micro-defects responsible for a lack of shine. Combined with technology that helps seal the cuticle, it results in visibly smoother and shinier hair.

In a country where humidity causes frizz and often makes styling difficult, the promise of hair that’s up to 14 times smoother after just one wash naturally resonates with consumers. “Beyond technical performance, we’re also addressing an emotional need: the desire to feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable in one’s own skin. ” This aspect was also at the heart of the “Gloss Boss Talk,” held in May. More than just a product launch, the event brought together several inspiring women to discuss leadership and self-assertion. “Being a Gloss Boss is, above all, a state of mind. Beautiful hair can give you a confidence boost, but true radiance also comes from within.” A vision that makes beauty a tool for self-expression as much as it is a daily beauty routine.
