On October 21, 2025, Heba Capdevila Jangeerkhan took up her position as Chief Executive Officer of Medine, a key player on the Mauritian business scene. Aligned with the group’s values, she intends to further consolidate its growth and transformation.
Heba Capdevila Jangeerkhan has a wealth of professional and international experience, and is renowned for her collaborative leadership and strategic vision. Before joining Medine, she was also at the helm of some of the island’s leading groups, including Cementis Group Indian Ocean and Taylor Smith. In the first half of 2025, she became the first woman elected President of the Mauritius Export Association (MEXA).
For Yvan Legris, Chairman of Medine, the appointment was an obvious one. “We chose Heba Capdevila for his proven ability to create value in complex environments, and his vision aligned with our transformation strategy,” he explains. Indeed, the iconic West Island group has been steadily diversifying its activities over the years. “Medine has a solid foundation with its recent investments and a clear transformation vision that I am committed to executing with excellence,” she confides. A decisive appointment that promises to reinforce the position already taken by the group: that of a leader relying on strong synergies between its different activities (agriculture, education, real estate, lifestyle & hospitality and leisure).
