Since December 5, 2025, Legend Hill Residences & Spa (5*) has welcomed its first guests to the heights of Black River. This exclusive new address reinvents the art of staying in Mauritius with a modern, vibrant lifestyle approach deeply rooted in Mauritian authenticity.

Perched against one of the island’s finest panoramas, with breathtaking views of the turquoise lagoon and Morne Brabant, Legend Hill stands out for its innovative approach to hospitality. Managed by Phoenix Hotel Collection, internationally renowned for its excellence in upscale hospitality, the resort caters to both international visitors and Mauritian residents in search of new experiences.

“Legend Hill is about discovering the island in a different way. With sincerity, with taste, with passion”, confides Eva Naidu, general manager of the resort. The culinary experience, meanwhile, bears the signature of chef Glenn Viel, head of the 3-star Michelin restaurant L’Oustau de Baumanière in France, also awarded a green star for his commitment to responsible gastronomy.

The resort offers two distinct dining venues: 1812 and Bview, two exceptional addresses also open to outside guests. “At Legend Hill, I want every dish to tell a story, to create a memory. With my team-mates Joel Trejo and Julie Le Gall, we pass on know-how, and also train the talents of tomorrow, here in Mauritius,” explains the chef.

With teams that are 100% Mauritian and embody the vision of deeply human luxury, Legend Hill offers tailor-made experiences, from dinner under the stars to private hikes to the summit of Morne Brabant – for a complete immersion in what makes Mauritius so rich. The Legend Spa also offers a personalized experience, with signature treatments featuring local ingredients for an island-scented wellness break.

In addition to accommodation in suites, villas and penthouses, Legend Hill is also open to visitors with its Santosha bar and infinity pool, panoramic rooftop, spa in collaboration with Cinq Mondes, and two restaurants open to the public.

A new addition to the Mauritian hotel scene!
