The group has just launched a book and its second album, Lanwit ⸱ Lizourten years after the memorably successful debut. The ethereal sweetness of Sarasvati Mallac’s erhu and the swirls of her ecstatic voice are here more than ever. The accents of the African bobre and the bewitching pulsations of Kan Chan Kin’s didgeridoo are just some of the ingredients on this new album, which seems to have been matured with patience and meticulousness. This reassuring music draws its strength from the cohesion of the stubbornly smiling band, the traditional instruments and the work of the voices, both solo and polyphonic.
