When Australia invites itself to Mauritius

On Wednesday January 28, 2026, Australia Day was held at the Intercontinental Resort Mauritius, in the presence of the Australian High Commissioner to Mauritius. Among the participants, Fine Foods Marketing presented meats recognized worldwide for their quality, traceability and consistency.

Guests were treated to a variety of creations: Grass Fed beef pastrami, Black Angus Riverina mini burgers and Australian lamb keftas. The aim of each recipe was to highlight the specific characteristics of each meat. Next, a Grass Fed beef tomahawk was displayed, to showcase the company’s maturation work and expertise in selecting high-quality matured meats. The range was completed by Australian Wagyu, renowned for its exceptional marbling and incomparable tenderness.

Through this participation, Fine Foods Marketing reaffirms its commitment to selecting and distributing quality meats that meet the highest standards for catering professionals and gourmet food lovers in Mauritius. This gourmet event highlighted the strong and lasting partnership between Fine Foods Marketing and the Australian High Commission in Mauritius, built around shared values of excellence and know-how. It also celebrated the richness of Australia’s terroir and confirmed the company’s key role in bringing exceptional meats to the Mauritian market.
