In this respect, it strives to adopt the best sustainable practices on a daily basis, which today make it a leading eco-luxury hotel brand in the Indian Ocean. <\/span><\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

Constance Hotels & Resorts boasts seven eco-chic resorts in Mauritius, the Seychelles, the Maldives and Madagascar, and three championship golf courses (one in the Seychelles and two in Mauritius). Already 10 years ago, the hotel group launched its sustainable development performance program, to reinforce its commitment to its guests and the environment at its various sites. Whether you’re enjoying the magnificent beaches of the Maldives, the Seychelles, Mauritius or Madagascar, at Constance Hotels & Resorts, everything is done to protect ecosystems and keep them intact, thus enabling ecotourism and the preservation of a healthy ocean and marine life that is always abundant. To this end, a number of ecological measures have been successfully adopted, earning the hotel group Green Globe Gold certification for six of its establishments. <\/span><\/p>\n

Concrete action in every hotel<\/b><\/h2>\n

From Mauritius to Madagascar and the Seychelles, there are many ways to preserve the environment.<\/p>\n

To name but a few, <\/b>in Mauritius<\/b>, Adopt a Dodo supports environmental and social causes by donating funds raised from the sale of plush dodos to an NGO. Through this laudable initiative, Constance Prince Maurice aims to help children in need. At Constance Belle Mare Plage, the Pledge on Food Waste program combats food waste and waste reduction. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the Seychelles<\/b>, the staff and guests of the Constance Ephelia protect and maintain the mangroves. The resort has its own nursery where all planted seeds are monitored, contributing to the propagation and rehabilitation of the seven different mangrove species that grow in the area. At Constance Lemuria, the Grande Anse Kerlan beach remains the number one site on Praslin Island, with a genuine turtle conservation program, overseen by Robert Matombe, the hotel’s Turtle Manager. <\/p>\n

In Madagascar<\/b>, there are many complementary initiatives. For example, Constance Tsarabanjina has created a marine protected area in collaboration with the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). <\/p>\n

In the Maldives<\/b>, Constance Halaveli helps support protected natural areas with high biodiversity value, by educating divers about the area before they start their dive program. Finally, the Constance Moofushi makes its own sea salt, charcoal, chili pepper and aloe vera for the spa. <\/p>\n
