At Shlomo in Grand Baie, she innovates by adapting plants to different sauces and recipes, served in a setting that promotes a cool attitude.   <\/b><em>ZA<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;I can wake up one morning and decide to create a new recipe to surprise my customers,&#8221; explains Jennifer. Burgers, nuggets, burritos, tacos, salads <span class=\"s1\">:<\/span> the range is as surprising as it is varied. By combining plants, wheat, spices and other strictly vegan components, <span class=\"s1\">Jennifer<\/span> recreates modern and classic <span class=\"s1\">menus<\/span>. &#8220;We reconstitute certain meats using plants<span class=\"s1\">,<\/span> so that those who come are not<span class=\"s1\"> disoriented <\/span>from <span class=\"s1\">fast-food<\/span>. Here, they can be sure of having access to healthy cuisine.&#8221;   <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In 2020, <span class=\"s1\">she<\/span> launched the concept because she had been challenged by serious illnesses that were striking some children prematurely. &#8220;The research I undertook indicated that it was the products in our diet that were responsible for this situation.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Meeting her husband Akaziyah Ben, who is of Jewish descent, <span class=\"s1\">led<\/span> her to <span class=\"s1\">vegan<\/span> culture. The couple&#8217;s travels helped expose Jennifer to other culinary horizons. &#8220;I drew <span class=\"s1\">inspiration<\/span> from Israelite, Egyptian, Turkish and Mauritian cultures to create Shlomo&#8217;s menu.&#8221;  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Plants, cushions, varnished and rustic wood make up the decor of this northern bistro. An environment in keeping with the concept put <span class=\"s1\">forward<\/span>. &#8220;Our clientele, which is far from being exclusively<span class=\"s1\"> vegan<\/span>, is made up of people who like good, healthy food<span class=\"s1\">,<\/span> where proteins are present. Here, we don&#8217;t demand propriety, so people can get to know each other and chat.
