Comprising the very best classical dancers, this troupe has become an ambassador for Chinese culture and know-how, performing on major international tours. <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Since their creation in 1980, these ballets have, in addition to Chinese <span class=\"s1\">masterpieces <\/span>, worked on some twenty Western classical pieces such as <span class=\"s1\"><i>Swan Lake<\/i><\/span>and <span class=\"s1\"><i>La Sylphide<\/i> <\/span>or <span class=\"s1\"><i>Don Quixote<\/i><\/span>&#8230; For the Mauritian public, in a 1h30 performance, they will present <span class=\"s1\">the<\/span> nine most emblematic extracts from the different works in their repertoire, whether from the West or China. The must-see <span class=\"s1\"><i>Swan Lake<\/i> <\/span>choreographed by Vladimir Malakhov, will open the show, followed on the Western side by <span class=\"s1\"><i>Don Quixote<\/i><\/span>, <span class=\"s1\"><i>Le Corsaire<\/i><\/span>Auber&#8217;s pas de deux and <span class=\"s1\"><i>La Sylphide<\/i><\/span>before presenting three Chinese ballet anthologies: the      <span class=\"s1\"><i>Mulan<\/i><\/span> &#8216;s <span class=\"s1\">pas<\/span> de deux, with companion and accomplice Li Shuo, <span class=\"s1\"><i>Jasmine Flowers<\/i> <\/span>for softness and delicate charm, and finally the pas de deux of <span class=\"s1\"><i>Qixi<\/i><\/span>a great legend of Chinese love<span class=\"s1\">,<\/span> through the couple Niulang and Zhin\u00fc&#8230; To conclude, Skydance illustrates human creativity in adapting to the great upheavals of nature.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Celebrating the Year of the Wooden Snake &#8211; symbol of wisdom and renewal &#8211; the Liaoning ballet company invites the public \u00e0 live for an hour thirty of grace and lightness, with 50 of the finest classical dancers from the Republic of China, on stage at the Caudan Arts Centre.
