For more than twenty years, the Mauritian DIY, gardening and home decoration retailer… <\/span>markets the French brand Royal Canin\u00ae<\/span> (founded in 1968) on an exclusive basis, and supports its growth. A member of the Espace Maison team for fifteen years, Sarah knows the brands and products dedicated to our four-legged companions and other furry or feathered beasts inside out. Kenza, her ten-year-old Labrador, is fed Royal Canin <\/span>\u00ae Maxi Adult 5+, a complete formula designed for senior dogs weighing over 25 kg. Nutrients for joints and mobility; limited calorie content for weight control and digestion; omega-3 fatty acids for heart health, antioxidants for natural defenses. “I give her the portion adapted to sterilized dogs, as she tends to put on weight. She’s my ‘old girl’, a big ball of love who loves children, cuddles and… eating!” She adds happily: “The <\/span>Covid revealed a change in people’s attitudes towards the animal. The dog, once considered the guardian of the home, is now a member of the family who is offered accessories, toys and care and hygiene products, such as shampoos, ear cleaners and oral care.”<\/p>\n

Royal Canin quality<\/b><\/span>\u00ae<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of 2024, to meet growing demand, Espace Maison diversified its range of Royal Canin\u00ae products.<\/span> with foods adapted to felines’ sensitive digestion or weight gain, as well as to sterilized kittens. “The common goal of Espace Maison and Royal Canin <\/span>\u00ae is first and foremost the health of animals, through a complete range of products for every need. Convinced from the outset of the high quality of the expert brand, Sarah insists on the notion of tailor-made support for the animal. <\/span>throughout its life, depending on its breed, age and state of health…<\/p>\n

The annual Dog Show returns!<\/b><\/p>\n

After a six-year absence, the dogs will be back on show at the Domaine de Labourdonnais on August 31, 2025, from 9 am to 4 pm. The beauty contest, organized in conjunction with “prestige” sponsor Royal Canin\u00ae<\/span> and <\/span>open to all pedigree dog owners, will be presided over by a French and a Luxembourg judge, who will score each aesthetic criterion. Entries open in June, while the call for sponsors has already gone out, with four formulas available: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. “We’re expecting 200 dogs, 8,000 visitors and 40 exhibitors, as well as a food corner <\/i>and kids’ corner<\/i>. At the previous edition in 2019, I learned a lot about the characteristics of the different breeds, by assisting one of the judges”, confides Sarah, still touched by the memory of a very enthusiastic public. <\/p>\n
