After a stopover in India and France, this new edition of the Book Festival returns to its roots, celebrating the writings of   <\/b><span class=\"s1\"><b>L<\/b><\/span><b>a R\u00e9union, Rodrigues and Mauritius. <\/b><em>Dominique Bellier<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;I dream that there will be many more exchanges and collaborations between authors from Reunion and Mauritius. We&#8217;re very complementary,&#8221; says Barlen Pyamootoo, initiator of this festival, which is one of the coolest around&#8230; Walking on the sand, feeling the trade winds as we stroll from one publisher to another, from a signing to a workshop, stirs the imagination and the joy of reading. Lulled by the ocean, we&#8217;ll discover the winner of the Indianoc\u00e9anie prize at the opening night party, and listen to the music of words at the big reading night on Saturday evening. <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">On Saturday and Sunday, we&#8217;ll be meeting <span class=\"s1\">a host of <\/span>writers <span class=\"s1\">&#8211; including <\/span>Casimir Stewelderson, Peggy-Loup Garbal, Gilbert Aubry, Ibrahim Alladin and Olivier Bancoult <span class=\"s1\">&#8211;<\/span> illustrators, songwriters and<span class=\"s1\">,<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> of<\/span> course, publishers and booksellers. We&#8217;ll listen to the reflections of passionate researchers such as Val\u00e9rie Magdelaine, Carpanin Marimoutou and C\u00e9dric Mong-Hy. We&#8217;ll learn to write stories with Patrice Abdallah, draw with Laval Ng, and even invent stories in the footsteps of Chazal and Rabearivelo with Jean-Luc Raharimanana&#8230;  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>\u00cele Courts is back too!<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The initiators of the \u00cele Courts festival dreamed of relaunching this not-to-be-missed event for the 7<span class=\"s1\"><sup>e<\/sup><\/span> art event, but until now had been unable to find the funding.
