The enthusiasm was immediate. “We worked in an all-consuming creative fever and, for a fortnight, had to discipline ourselves to do something else (Laughs). For each of his texts, a precise idea for the music came to mind, resulting in a surprisingly good fit,” she confides.

Dimitri’s kindness adds to the couple’s love and humor, enveloping the professional trio in an indescribable sense of complicity. On stage, while he (in a variety of roles) wonders about everything, she supports him (or not), with music… and words, stepping out of her comfort zone and becoming an actress for the first time. As phantasmagorical as it is pragmatic, exalted by a lighting design entirely conceived by Dimitri and Daniel, QUOIQUE is a tender, funny, delirious show, fusing classic and popular works, chiselled dialogues and eccentric characters.

“This show is just like us: Daniel is a man who doubts, and we play him, of course,” adds Nouchine, before lending him the finest pen she knows. “I greatly admire his talent as a writer and actor, and his offbeat universe, a blend of wry humor and poetic tenderness. As for him: “Nouchine is an exceptional pianist who touches me deeply. On stage, she’s a magnificent adventurer, hyper-talented and bursting with humor!”

Reserve early!
Caudan Arts Centre, October 18 at 7:30 p.m.
https://caudan.com/caudan-arts-centre/events/quoique-chroniques-dun-quidam-qui-doute/

More than two years maturing.
