A colorful, cosmopolitan menu, a clean-lined décor enhanced by natural textures reminiscent of Balinese shores, a magnificent garden planted with trees… Welcome to this bubble of freshness and flavors! Eugénie Sauzier-de Rosnay

First, a little piece of Africa, transported into the hearts of Emel and her sisters, who are of Ivorian and Burkinabe origin, then a touch of Asia and a hint of America. In a veritable kaleidoscope, flavors from here and elsewhere blend boldly in this eclectic menu that smells of warmth and conviviality. Specializing in brunch, the restaurant opens its doors at 8:30 a.m. to welcome lovers of the happy contraction.

The spotlight is on waffles, toast, muffins and burgers, skilfully juggling sweet and savoury flavours: beet hummus, maple syrup, truffle eggs, guacamole, beef bacon, smoked salmon… For those with a sweet tooth, traditional pancakes and bowls of Greek yoghurt and granola are the perfect accompaniment. For even more convivial moments, the Sis’Brunch, a platter of various typical brunch dishes to share, is also available at weekends.

At 11 a.m., for lunch, soul food, straight from the kitchens of Harlem and revisited according to inspiration, dominates the menu. Accompanied by sweet potato or green banana fries, waffles are adorned with fried chicken and sauces from around the world (mafé, Thai, American, barbecue or secret sauce), while burgers, wraps, salads and pokés add freshness and lightness to an already well-stocked menu.

On the drinks front, the restaurant also has a few nuggets in store, such as bissap, a traditional African juice made to Emel’s mother’s recipe from organic hibiscus grown by her aunt in Côte d’Ivoire. In addition to its homemade juices, the restaurant offers a wide range of drinks – both classic and heterogeneous, such as its delicious gourmet milkshakes in Oreo or peanut flavors.

On Saturday February 14, Sweet & Brunch will exceptionally open its doors for a live music dinner from 7pm.

T : 5847 8197

Insta : @sweetandbrunch.mau

FB: Sweet and Brunch

Located on Réservoir Road in Grand Baie, Sweet & Brunch was born of the dreams and travels of Emel Guillou, her husband and sisters, all passionate about food.
