Absa Mauritius has taken another step forward in financial innovation with the launch, on March 18, of the island’s very first multi-currency virtual card. Developed in partnership with Visa, the world leader in digital payments, this solution revolutionizes the way Mauritians shop online, travel and manage their international payments. <\/b><\/p>\n

Designed for a connected, digital-centric lifestyle, this virtual card is used directly via the Absa Mobile Banking application. Customers can create, fund and use their card in just a few minutes, without having to visit a branch or wait for a physical card. This immediate accessibility meets the expectations of a customer base increasingly focused on global e-commerce platforms, digital subscriptions and international travel. <\/p>\n

The major advantage of this innovation lies in its multi-currency compatibility. Compatible with the euro, pound sterling, Mauritian rupee, South African rand and US dollar, the card enables users to settle payments in the currency of their choice. The result: fewer unnecessary conversion charges and more transparent, controlled international spending. A significant advantage in a context where Mauritians are increasingly buying on foreign platforms and traveling regularly. <\/p>\n
