In 2026, it embarked on a major project: an awareness campaign aimed at the general public and focused on understanding the specific needs of animals, in order to better support them at every stage of their lives. <\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This initiative stems from an observation born directly from the field. &#8220;We work closely with a number of veterinarians and realized that there was a real opportunity to increase knowledge of pet care,&#8221; says Sarah McVeay A., Business Development Strategy at Espace Maison. Certain pathologies, she confides, are virtually non-existent in Europe today, whereas they persist here.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">To better educate and guide pet owners, Espace Maison has decided to launch &#8220;Did You Know&#8221;, an awareness campaign focusing this year on three fundamental themes: sterilization, mobility and urinary health. For this first edition, the brand teamed up with Dr. Dyall from PetSphere to sterilize some 30 pets on March 26 and 27. &#8220;This first part of our campaign was a real success: a week after the launch, all the places were already booked!&#8221; says Sarah.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Videos on the importance of sterilization, content dedicated to the day itself, as well as advice on the benefits of sterilization and the importance of proper nutrition after the procedure: the brand intends to tackle each theme in a comprehensive and educational way. &#8220;Our aim is not only to raise awareness among the general public, but also to accompany them on their preventive journey,&#8221; she stresses. With this in mind, Espace Maison is making a point of sponsoring numerous animals for all these events, which will be held every 3 to 4 months.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The second theme, mobility, is just as essential, particularly for the quality of life of dogs and cats. Indeed, some animals can develop joint problems limiting their movements and causing discomfort, most often due to advancing age, overweight or certain genetic predispositions. &#8220;Here, prevention means regular veterinary check-ups, a suitable diet and maintaining an ideal weight, all of which help to preserve joint health and keep them active for longer,&#8221; explains Sarah.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Finally, the last theme concerns urinary health, a sometimes problematic aspect among Mauritian animals. &#8220;Urinary problems are relatively common in dogs and cats, and can lead to more serious complications if not treated promptly&#8221;, she warns.
