A panoramic view stretching from sky to earth, a cool breeze caressing your skin, in a peaceful atmosphere with the sounds of nature echoing in the background\u2026 In FERNEY, this immersion is brought to life through a variety of experiences: hiking in the valley, a guided 4×4 tour, a picnic in the gardens, a twilight safari\u2026 A sensory journey that extends all the way to the table, through the local Mauritian produce! This cuisine, orchestrated by Chef G\u00e9rald Richard, features venison, wild boar, and seasonal fruits and vegetables. The \u201cDiscover the Flavors of FERNEY\u201d menu is served with a dash of adrenaline and adventure. <\/p>\n

During the day, the adventure can last five hours, featuring a hike or a guided 4×4 tour, followed by lunch at the lodge. For appetizers: gadjacks, vegetarian samosas, chili cakes, and arouille cakes. For the main courses, venison \u201cdry curry\u201d with cashews and raisins is served alongside wild boar salmi. For dessert: a cassava pudding with coconut and purple arouille ice cream. The landscape is also perfect for the \u201cHike & Picnic\u201d experience: a 5-km hike, followed by a picnic in the gardens. Farata with grilled octopus, mini quiche with venison rillettes, baguette with venison or tandoori chicken, and tamarind juice round out the culinary exploration of the region. <\/p>\n

At the end of the day, FERNEY welcomes lovers of nighttime landscapes with the Twilight Safari. Accompanied by a driver-guide in a 4×4 as the sun sets and the sky turns red, visitors settle into the heart of nature. Deer, wild boars, and bats may emerge from their hiding places.
