Located at the entrance to Beau Plan, opposite the Greencoast international school, Mon Rocher seems almost suspended in time, cradled by a rich industrial – and human – past and a present constantly looking to the future. It’s like a bubble, offering a wide range of sports and leisure activities in an unbeatable setting.

With its iconic nineteenth-century fireplacee century chimney, coconut grove and the ruins of a former sugar factory, Mon Rocher is a sight to behold on the M2 freeway. Far from being a relic of a bygone era, its heart continues to beat: true to its policy of preservation, the Terra group has sought to enhance this industrial heritage, not only by bringing it to life, but by making it a veritable meeting point for the region. As part of Beau Plan’s vision of an intelligent city, Mon Rocher today represents a district unto itself, centered around sports and leisure.

Destination sport

The Club de Padel, Mon Rocher’s must-see, features five padel courts, including a panoramic center court, all built to international standards. In 2024, it even hosted the Indian Ocean’s first international tournament, the Beau Plan FIP Star, which brought together the world’s best players, including Thomas Leygue, Ignacio Piotto, Marta Arellano Navarro and Laura Lujan Rodriguez. In addition to a Club House and Proshop, the club also boasts a fitness room for warm-ups and workouts.

A stone’s throw away, ancient ruins have also been rehabilitated to house Les Écuries de Mon Rocher, bringing together horse lovers and enthusiasts. In addition to some sixty horses, the stables also house a mini-farm populated by chickens, rabbits and goats – a veritable haven of discovery for curious minds! Riding lessons, introductory courses or simply a leisurely stroll: there’s something for everyone!

Family get-togethers

Adjacent to the padel club, the 1890 restaurant – named in homage to the date the chimney was built – is a particularly unifying space. The perfect place to meet for breakfast, lunch or even brunch, it also hosts a number of delightfully lively events, such as the Apéros organized by Beau Plan, the Frekans 18.90 music festival and the festive Oktoberfest, breathing warmth and life into the century-old walls of the former factory.

Animal lovers are not to be outdone, as the All Life Matters animal sanctuary has, since 2019, also made its home at Mon Rocher. Founded by Moira van der Westhuizen, it is now home to almost 30 horses, pigs, goats, monkeys, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, dogs and even a bull! Accessible to all, it welcomes many local children for gentle moments of awareness of the importance of animal welfare.

And there’s more to come: Mon Rocher promises to unveil new surprises over the coming months!
