The final round of the MCB Mauritius Legends 2025 took place from December 4 to 9 on the Legend Golf Course at Constance Belle Mare Plage, Mauritius. Designed by Hugh Baiocchi, this par 72 course, renowned for its technical features and unspoilt environment, hosted the final leg of the Legends Tour, bringing together the elite of senior professional golf.
The competition attracted players over 50 years of age from various countries, accompanied by their technical teams and caddies. The turnout confirmed the major status of this final in the circuit calendar.
In terms of results, England’s Greg Owen took the title with a total score of -18, beating Jeev Milkha Singh and Darren Fichardt by one shot. For his part, Australian Scott Hend had already secured the John Jacobs trophy, rewarding the leader of the Order of Merit, thanks to a season marked by two victories and four Top 5s. Mauritian caddie Sawan Agnoo, who accompanied Greg Owen, received Rs 25,000 for his support throughout the tournament.
The champion expressed his satisfaction: “Winning here in Mauritius, on a course as magnificent as the Legend, is a very special moment. The tournament was very intense, the crowd simply incredible, and I’d like to thank Constance Belle Mare Plage and the MCB for an unforgettable week. I’m really proud to add my name to the list of MCB Mauritius Legends champions.” Darren Fichardt was also named Barry Lane Rookie of the Year, an award in tribute to Barry Lane, a pillar of European golf who passed away in 2022.
The organization of the event is based on a partnership between Constance Hotels & Resorts, the MCB and the Legends Tour.
