We’ve already heard of joke breaks, coffee breaks and (totally inadvisable) fag breaks. The Caudan Waterfront now offers readingbreaks (highly recommended) alongside a Vespa customized by artist Sapna and transformed into a mini-library. On the second floor of Barkly Wharf, Kass Poz Liroffers a selection of around two hundred books, mostly in English, with the support of the American Embassy. These books for the whole family with a few titles by Mauritianauthors⸱rices⸱nescan be borrowed or read on site in the armchairs and hammocks set up next door. From the Vespa, the wheels, hull and handlebars remain, which will enable the whole thing to be moved from time to time, in various aisles of the shopping center. Readings fromDharyan Minien’sUne voix francophone de l’océan Indien and Ouday Chuttoo’s The Ashes of Tomorrow marked the launch.
