London’s Philharmonia Orchestra has already performed at the Caudan Arts Centre in 2024, but this time it returns from February 10 to 13 with twice as many musicians and twice as much music! The two-hour concert features the legendary Symphony No. 5 is part of the orchestra’s 80th anniversary world tour, the history of which is an anthology in itself. From Karajan to Ashkenazy, via Klemperer and Ricardo Muti, the greatest conductors have led the orchestra since its creation in the aftermath of the Second World War. FrenchmanAlexandre Bloch graces us with his infectious enthusiasm, as he takes the helm of the Spanish Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra. Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Haydn are also on the program of this not-to-be-missed festival.
