Sanlam and Jubilee Allianz join forces to create a new company: SanlamAllianz General Insurance Ltd. This is an important moment for the insurance sector in Mauritius. The new company is part of a major African group with a presence in 26 countries, worth almost $2 billion. The aim is simple: to combine local experience with the strength of a major international group.
This alliance marks a new stage for the Mauritian market.

The new group was officially presented on February 3, 2026 at a gala evening at The Residence, Belle Mare, under the theme “Two Legacies. One Future”. A number of VIPs attended, including the Honourable Dr Mrs Jyoti Jeetun, Minister of Financial Services, Ms Pamela Bussier, CEO of SanlamAllianz Mauritius, and Mr Abdellatif Amara, Regional Head of Integration. The evening marked the official start of this new phase, following all the necessary approvals.
