Phoenix Beverages Ltd marks a new milestone with the launch of a new soft drinks production line on February 27, 2026. Located at the Vacoas-Phoenix site, this ultra-modern 2,696-square-meter unit represents an investment of 700 million Mauritian rupees and reflects the IBL Group’s ambition to strengthen the local industrial base.

Supplied by Germany’s Krones, this new-generation production line more than doubles capacity: 21,000 1.5-liter bottles per hour compared with 12,000 previously, and 30,000 500-ml bottles compared with 12,600. This will support production of the portfolio’s flagship brands, including Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Eski, Orangina and Crystal, while guaranteeing stable local supplies and avoiding stock-outs.

Beyond the numbers, this facility is banking on technological innovation. Equipped with advanced high-precision processing, carbonation and dosing systems, it significantly reduces product losses, optimizes CO₂ utilization and continuously improves quality. Automated devices ensure real-time monitoring and full traceability of operations, in line with the most demanding international standards.

The environmental footprint has not been overlooked. Optimized infrared heating, compressed air recycling, high-efficiency processes: these are all part of the Group’s commitment to a sustainable industrial model, aligned with the ESG principles of the PhoenixEarth Initiative.

With this strategic investment, Phoenix Beverages reaffirms its role as a major industrial player in Mauritius, combining economic growth, technological innovation and environmental responsibility. A modern industrial platform at the service of the country’s sustainable development.
