While they share the same industrial and technological foundation, they are aimed at different audiences. Omoda targets an urban clientele that values design, connectivity, and new lifestyles, with crossovers featuring bold styling and advanced in-car technology. Jaecoo takes a more rugged yet refined approach. It reimagines the traditional SUV by integrating next-generation technological solutions. Both brands are experiencing strong international growth and have even surpassed the milestone of one million vehicles sold worldwide in less than three years. In April 2026, their combined sales reached 69,892 units.
In Mauritius, the Omoda C5 is available with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 154 ch. This crossover features a comprehensive suite of technology, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, and numerous comfort features. It is priced starting at Rs 1,390,000, or Rs 990,000 duty-free, with a seven-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty. The all-electric Jaecoo J5 rounds out the lineup with a 210 ch motor and a range of up to 450 km (WLTP). Equipped with 20 driver-assistance systems, a 13.2-inch vertical display, and high-end features, it starts at Rs 1,725,000, with a free 7.4 kW charging station and an eight-year battery warranty.
