BARNES Maurice, a member of the APTIS Group, celebrated its 10ᵉ anniversary on November 14 in the privileged setting of the Mont Choisy estate. The event brought together customers, partners, staff and international representatives of a network that now boasts over 140 branches and 1,700 employees in 22 countries. A symbolic milestone for one of the major players in prestige real estate in Mauritius.
The day began with the traditional BARNES Cup, played on the Mont Choisy golf course. The evening, held at the estate’s Heritage Zone, then brought together close associates of BARNES Maurice for a moment of sharing and emotion. A number of key figures from the global network had made the trip, testifying to the strategic importance of the Mauritian market.
Founded in 2015 by Outi de Falbaire, who introduced the BARNES license to the country, the Mauritian branch has quickly established itself as one of the island’s top three branches. From its initial location in Pointe d’Esny, the company now boasts six branches – Grand Baie, Moka, Belle Mare, Floréal, Mahébourg and Tamarin – and over thirty professionals covering the entire territory.
Appointed General Manager last May, François Colin underlines the significance of this milestone:
“When we celebrate an anniversary, we mostly celebrate the years gone by. But tonight, I can’t help thinking about our future. It promises to be a bright one, because it will be built on a solid foundation: a decade of work, experience and passion.”
He also highlights the legacy left by his predecessor: “I would like to congratulate Outi de Falbaire for her dedication and excellent work over the past decade. Our aim is to make BARNES Mauritius the leading real estate agency in Mauritius, with an eye to the Indian Ocean.”
For her part, Outi de Falbaire, now Head of Sales, looks back on the early days of the brand:
“I remember the day when 45 of us directors got together in a basement in Paris. What a journey it’s been since then! Here in Mauritius, we’ve become a key player while retaining our family soul.”
APTIS Group CEO Oscar Mamet reaffirms the group’s ambition: “We will support the company as it strengthens its presence in Mauritius and the region, drawing on the recognized expertise of its teams.” This celebration marks a decade of solid roots and ushers in a new phase of growth for BARNES Mauritius.
