Now elegantly dressed in a décor that emphasizes wood and vegetation, the essence of Moka’z has nevertheless remained intact. While thetraditionalcrepes, signature burgers and curries are still on the menu , chef Kursline Alfred wanted to make the experience more intense. “We’ve kept the soul of the menu with more boldness: exotic flavors, generous dishes and a menu that will evolve with the seasons. Our new creations are designed to arouse curiosity, while maintaining a strong link with Mauritian cuisine,” she says.

On the menu:local and Thai salads, new tagliatelle dishes (chicken and mushrooms, seafood, pesto…), a new Moka’z club sandwich, as well as a revamped grill section, with beef mignon or braised chicken supreme.
” For beverages, the coffee menu features the house’s iconic lattes and cappuccinos, now available in new flavors. Added to this are original milkshakes (coconut-pineapple or chocolate-peanut butter), lemongrass iced tea, as well as smoothies with banana, honey and matcha, or tropical versions (mango and banana)”, she continues.

Reopened on 1st July, Moka’z now caters for both business and leisure meetings. Rama Miniandee, Operations Manager, explains: “We’ve opted for a more modern, streamlined atmosphere, notably through a color palette inspired by our island, and a layout that encourages relaxation and sharing.”
