In line with its commitment to responsible development, on Wednesday October 22, 2025, Ferney unveiled all the details of its new Tropical Agrihood project, which combines agriculture and neighborhoods – a novelty in line with the developments already underway in the agricultural sector.

The evening kicked off with a cocktail reception in the south-east of the island. This was followed by speeches from various stakeholders – including Jean-Noël Wong Wan Khin, CEO of CIEL Properties (parent company of Ferney Ltd), Guillaume Dalais, Group CEO of Groupe CIEL, and the Honorable Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, GCSK, FRCP, Prime Minister of the Republic – and a buffet dinner for guests.

The star of the evening was Ferney Ltd’s new long-term project for integrated and responsible development, the logical continuation of the agricultural estate’s vision. The latter has already made a name for itself with visionary developments such as its agroecology research and practice center set up on its farmland, its low-density agri-residential subdivision project on plots cultivated without chemicals, and its eco-lodges.

6% of the 3,000 hectares will be dedicated to Tropical Agrihood – land previously under sugar cane. Promoting a healthy and peaceful lifestyle – based on the principle of agroecology – the integration of daily and professional activities with nature, the assets of Ferney and the region’s terroir, and the inclusion and empowerment of its inhabitants, this new project is in the image of the agricultural domain: respectful of both people and nature.
