iShop by LEAL Opens Its New Showroom in Grand Baie, Built to Apple Mono Tier 2 Standards

The only Apple store in the northern part of the island has been given a makeover. Renovated in accordance with Apple’s standards, it marks a new chapter for the brand, which has been operating in Grand Baie since 2017.

On October 3, iShop by LEAL officially opened its completely renovated showroom in Grand Baie. Designed to Apple’s Mono Tier 2 standard, the new space reflects a clear goal: to offer an Apple experience that combines a premium environment, convenience, and expertise.

A space designed with Apple’s approval

An Apple Authorized Reseller since 1999, iShop by LEAL draws on more than 25 years of experience in the Apple ecosystem in Mauritius. This expertise guided the transformation of the showroom: the furniture, layout, product displays, and customer journey were all designed and implemented in accordance with the brand’s standards and with its approval.

Open, minimalist, and immersive, the space allows visitors to explore and try out products in the best possible environment. But above all, the brand aims to place human expertise at the heart of the experience: understanding needs, offering advice, demonstrating the capabilities of the Apple ecosystem, and providing solutions tailored to both individuals and businesses.

“Our relationship with Apple dates back to 1999. Over the years, this experience has allowed us to develop a true understanding of Apple customers’ expectations,” says Yaksh Sandooram, Apple Business Manager. He adds that the ambition behind the new showroom goes beyond simply creating a new space: it is to offer an experience that lives up to Apple’s standards, driven by a team that knows the products and their ecosystem.

An Investment in Community

With a presence in Grand Baie for nearly a decade, iShop by LEAL serves customers in the north, where it remains the only Apple showroom. This renovated store reflects the brand’s commitment to continuing to invest in community engagement and to updating its spaces in line with Apple’s standards.

For Neemalen Gopal, Managing Director of the LEAL IT Cluster, this transformation is part of a long-term vision: “Grand Baie plays an important role in our network. This development reflects both our commitment to Apple and our dedication to continuing to invest in the experience we offer our customers through our spaces, our teams, and our services.”

An opening night centered on the experience

The evening of October 3 brought together VIP customers and guests. It began with a cocktail reception featuring live saxophone music, followed by the official unveiling of the space and a sega performance. Guests also had the opportunity to check out the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, while customers who had pre-ordered their devices were able to pick them up on the spot.

Support that goes beyond the purchase

The iShop experience continues after the sale. As an Apple Authorized Service Provider, the store operates an authorized service center in Pailles and supports its customers through advice, assistance, and after-sales service. This comprehensive approach encapsulates the company’s philosophy since 1999: combining Apple standards with local expertise and personalized support.
