Launched in 2022 by Heritage Resorts & Golf—whose philosophy skillfully blends luxury and sustainability—Sustainable Gastronomy Week reflects this commitment by promoting more responsible cuisine and a diverse lifestyle. The 2026 edition continues this approach by celebrating plants in all their forms! Eugénie Sauzier-de Rosnay

From October 5 to 10, Heritage Resorts & Golf will be celebrating Sustainable Gastronomy Week, a unique event that the hotel group has been organizing for the past four years. For its fifth edition, Heritage Resorts & Golf remains true to its core mission: showcasing the remarkable richness of the local terroir, highlighting a culinary scene that is as committed as it is creative, and celebrating the unique talents thriving on the island. While the theme in 2025 focused on water, this year’s theme will center on plants.

“Through this event, we hope to create a genuine space for exchange and knowledge-sharing, bringing together chefs, producers, and food enthusiasts around a common vision: to envision a more responsible cuisine, without ever sacrificing creativity and emotion,” says Dominique Grel, CEO of Heritage Le Telfair. Christian Têtedoie, Thomas Collomb, Florian Descours, Thibaut Spiwack… A must-attend event of the year, Sustainable Gastronomy Week has featured a lineup of renowned chefs, all recipients of the Michelin Guide’s Green Star—an accolade that recognizes their commitment to eco-responsible gastronomy!

This year, two guests of honor will chair the jury: Thomas Benady, the French chef at Auberge Sauvage, whose culinary signature is characterized by instinct and a love of nature, and Georgios Spandos, the Greek chef at Epoca in Réunion, where he elevates Mediterranean cuisine using ingredients from this sister island. On the agenda: culinary workshops, 100% locally sourced tasting menus, gala dinners, competitions between kitchen teams and mixologists, and a conference dedicated to sustainable gastronomy. There’s just one rule: celebrate plant-based ingredients, from harvest to presentation!
