The Octopus gallery and reproduction workshop has moved into a building four times its original size, at Creative Park in Beau Planto show more creations… Gaëlle Gonzalez presents, from May 22 to June 5 2026an exhibition specially dedicated to Ennri Kums, Karthik Ilango, Nirveda Alleck, Nathalie Kœnig, Keïvan Cadinouche and others… Dominique Bellier

Ennri Kums has revisited his Creole portraits to add a sequel, at the request of the Kreol Republic brand… Five new creations dedicated to the kreolite three of which are reproduced on limited edition T-shirts and two on archival paper. The brand thus inaugurates the “Arts Stories series, which will showcase artists’ work on its T-shirts.

Two large landscape canvases by the Indian painter Karthik Ilango take up space in another part of the gallery, revealing the distinctive style of this artist, who is still discreet in Mauritius, where he settled a few years ago after having wandered all over the place. This great draughtsman stands out for his realistic, detailed approach to line and composition, with colors so vivid and unexpected that they create another reality. The result? Each canvas is a universe in its own right.

Octopus also presents creations by Natalie Kœnig, the fairy-fingered designer capable of inventing genius accessories from three pieces of string… Returning to natural fibers, she has recently turned her attention to cross-stitch, sewing and crochet, for canvases designed from photos or landscapes as delicate as they are refined.

This first exhibition will give an overview of all the artists associated with Octopus… There will also be photographs by Nirveda Alleck, from the “Continuum” series , and others by Keïvan Cadinouche, Raoul Rampare, Gabrielle McGregor, David Rogers…
