Showtime Mauritius will treat the Mauritian public to a show dedicated to Jean-Jacques Goldman’s timeless repertoire, as well as to songs he wrote for some of the greatest voices in French and Francophone music, on Saturday, September 19, at the Trianon Convention Center.

Céline Dion, Johnny Hallyday, Florent Pagny, Patricia Kaas, and Khaled are among the French and French-speaking artists for whom Jean-Jacques Goldman has written songs. During this show, which will take place at 7 p.m. on September 19, Mauritians will have the chance to rediscover more than 25 songs. For over two hours, singers and musicians will bring these songs to life in a live performance. Erick Benzi, artistic director and longtime collaborator of Jean-Jacques Goldman, will lead a cast featuring Kilian Arzel, Jessy Elsa Palma, Cephaz, Tomislav, Perrine Aff, and Nerac.

The production brings together a new generation of performers in an effort not to imitate Jean-Jacques Goldman, but to recreate the emotions that have etched his songs into the collective memory. “L’Héritage Goldman 2” is part of Showtime Mauritius’s commitment to bringing leading international artists and productions to Mauritius. “Jean-Jacques Goldman’s music has that rare ability to bring together multiple generations… With ‘L’Héritage Goldman 2,’ we want to offer the Mauritian public much more than just a tribute concert: an international production driven by emotion, the energy of live performance, and the joy of singing together,” says Nagillen Narrainen of Showtime Mauritius.

Tickets, priced between Rs 900 and Rs 4,500, are available online at Otayo.com as well as at Rézo Otayo ticket outlets throughout Mauritius.
